چکیده

ABSTRACT Genetic resistance is the most efficient tool in crop disease management. Peanut smut currently one of important peanut diseases, with its incidence increasing terms both damage level and area covered. The aim this study was to assess response different genotypes obtained by Facultad de Agronomía y Veterinaria Universidad Nacional Río Cuarto (Argentina) their yield. During 2016/17, 2017/18 2018/19 seasons, three experimental assays were conducted General Deheza (Córdoba province, Argentina) evaluate varieties Uchaima, Utré Mapu, advanced lines LAx-1, LAx-2, LAx-3 LAx-4, cultivar Granoleico, which used as susceptible control. Final severity smut, well kernel yield, evaluated. variety line LAx-1 exhibited best over without differences between them, but differing significantly from remaining genotypes. Both showed below 6.8% 0.21. In 2016/17 season, had highest yield (3791.6 kg/ha). (1065 3975 Kernel 2851.6 kg/ha 805 season. Genotypes are resistant smut. This first report a commercial developed Argentina (Utré) confirmed tolerance

The Proteins of the Peanut, Arachis Hypogaea.

The ravages of the boll weevil have made it unprofitable to grow cotton in various sections throughout the South. In many regions where the growing of cotton has been decreased, peanuts are now being grown as a supplementary crop. This has caused a large increase in the production of peanuts in the United States. A number of mills which in the past produced cottonseed oil are now using their pr...

Transcriptome profiling of peanut (Arachis hypogaea) gynophores in gravitropic response

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) produces flowers aerially, but the fruit develops underground. This process is mediated by the gynophore, which always grows vertically downwards. The genetic basis underlying gravitropic bending of gynophores is not well understood. To identify genes related to gynophore gravitropism, gene expression profiles of gynophores cultured in vitro with tip pointing upward ...

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Omics and Biotechnology in China

Peanut is one of the most important crops in the world, both for vegetative oil and as a protein source. Biotechnology approaches provide promising ways to increase peanut productivity, either through improved seed quality or stress resistance. These approaches require the identification of genes that control important agronomical traits, the understanding of gene regulation and metabolic pathw...

The hydrophobic character of peanut (Arachis hypogaea) isoagglutinins.

Peanut seed lectin (PNA) is widely used to identify tumor-specific antigens on the eukaryotic cell surface. In this work PNA was purified by affinity chromatography, using a column containing glutaraldehyde-treated human erythrocytes, whereas PNA isoforms were purified by hydrophobic interaction chromatography using Phenyl-Sepharose. The affinity-purified PNA and its isoforms consist of four eq...

Role of carbohydrate moieties in peanut (Arachis hypogaea) peroxidases.

The activities of a cationic (C.PRX) and an anionic peroxidase isolated from peanut (Arachis hypogaea)-cell suspension culture were drastically reduced when they were deglycosylated with glycopeptidase F or oxidized by 10 mM-periodate. In contrast with the controls, the deglycosylated or the oxidized peroxidases were much more susceptible to proteolytic degradation. In radiolabelling experiment...
